Limbo // backstory

  The inspiration
Everyone talks about making a feature film. But very few people actually take the leap of faith and take steps to really make one. People will say "You're crazy!", its impossible, etc. etc -- but if you have the talent, heart and passion to fulfill your vision -- anything is possible. I was always inspired by the Twlight Zone as a kid! Rod Serling - a certified genius -- crafted amazing stories that were limited only by one's imagination -- no special effects really -- just fantastic storytelling and riveting acting in its purest forms. Making a feature film has been a lifelong dream of mine -- and now its time to realize the dream.

The process
For my feature directorial debut, I wanted to explore themes of corruption, redemption and friendship, but in a fantastical framework. So I came up with the story of Limbo Lounge -- a dark comedy about a street smart hustler trying to work his way down the ladder and earn his horns. But this was an indie film,-- so no huge budgets, no extragvagant locations, & no crazy special effects. I had to rely on solid storytelling, a whimsical imagination and vivid, unique characters that audiences would identify with. Over the course of 18 months, a bad case of writer's block (for those who endured me through this period -- I'm sorry!) 11 drafts and numerous story conferences, I knew the script was ready to go.

Now the journey continues to the most important level -- Actors and Producers/Financiers/distributors.
